1. Tour booking and payment instruction

If you book a group tour with fixed departing date: choose your own the departure day and book the tour following the steps in our website. Your information will be sent to Umove tour operator and will be replied within 1 hour. If you make the booking beyone office hours, we will response to you at 08.30 am in the following day.

After the successful registry, an invoice will be sent with total fees for the tour and the payment guide. Please make the payment to finish the booking. Otherwise, the booking is considered undone.

If you book a private tour: please provide the information in the Booking Form. Umove Adventure will calculate the expenses for the tour bases on your demands and the number of participants. We will response to you within 4 hours or at 08.30 am in the next day if your booking beyone office hours.

2. Postponement or cancellation

The payment for the tour must be done 100% when booking.

We require 31 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival, otherwise we will charge you cancellation fee as below.

50% of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes by 11 to 30 days before the departure day.

80% of of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes by 5 to 10 days before the departure day.

100% of of your total amount will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes by under 5 days before the departure day.

In case of majeure cancellation because of bad weather, storm or plague, you can choose one of the option below:

- Get 100% refund of tour fee

- Reschedule the tour or choose another one

3. Children’s policy

Umove Adventure rules the age of toddlers, children and adults as follows:

- Toddlers: from 0 to 3 years old

- Children: from 4 to 11 years old

- Adults: Above 12 years old

Most of the tours are not suitable for Toddlers.

Children can take part in tours with the mark “Family Tour”. The itinerary and activities in the tour are designed with the lowest difficulty level so the whole family can enjoy the outdoor. Sometimes, Umove Adventure holds a special tour that teaches Children survival skills such as making a fire, finding water source, water filtering, setting up a tent, etc.

Price for children traveling with an adult equals 80% of the tour price of adults with the following conditions:

- Children share the same room with adults without extra bed.

- Each adult is only allowed with 2 children. If there is only 1 adult with more than 2 children, 1 in each of 3 children will be charged the adult price.

4. If you request a private room

Normally, 2 adults will share a room of the hotel and there will be no additional charge.

If you travel alone and want a private room, there will be extra charge. The fee is different in each tour and will be notified to you as soon as possible.

1. About the meals

Umove Adventure selects local restaurants that meet food hygiene and safety requirements. The menu changes with each tour and uses local fresh ingredients.

In some specific tours, local house will be chosen to prepare the meal instead of restaurants for better experience.

Those who are vegetarian or on a diet should consider joining a group tour. In a private tour, Umove Adventure will try to meet your food requests.

Umove Adventure does NOT provide or encourage food from wild animals that were named in the Red list.

2. Accommodation

Depending on the activities and the length of the tour, accommodation will be different. Usually they are hotel, eco lodge, resort or sometimes homestay or camping.

3. Transportation

Depend on the number of participants, the corresponding vehicle will be used:

Group of 1 – 2 people: 5 seats car

Group of 3 – 10 people: 16 seats car

Group of 11 – 20 people: 29 seats car

Group of 21 – 25 people: 35 seats car

Group of 26 – 35 people: 49 seats car

Other means of transportation such as tenders, cruises are selected base on theirs safety, cleanliness and attitude toward tourists

In some specific tours, Umove Adventure will use some means of transportation that are not usually used in tourism like fishing boat, motorbike taxi, tricycle, etc.

Customers who join one of the adventure tour of Umove Adventure must be aware of the risks in the tour. Participants must read thoroughly and sign the Disclamation before going on the tour. The Disclamation Form can be seen below.

There are 4 categories of difficulty level: Easy, Medium, Hard and Adventure.

Difficulty level is evaluated relatively so that customers can decide the suitable tour with their experience and expectation.

The evaluation will base on the main activities of the tour such as trekking, kayaking and SUP paddling.

» Easy level: Everyone can enjoy the tour, including children. The activities are not difficult, not requiring any experience. The tour usually last 1 – 2 days. The trekking route will take 1 – 2 hours per with plain terrain. In SUP/ kayak tour, the paddling is about 1 – 2 hours per day just for sightseeing, picturing and no challenge.

» Medium level: Children above 6 years old can take part in the tour. Light physical practice before the tour is recommend to fully enjoy the outdoor activities. The tour length is usually 2 days. Trekking time will be 2 – 3 hours per day with plain terrain. In SUP/ kayak tour, 2 – 3 hours per day will be spend paddling, in the areas with large surface of water.

» Hard level: Only adults can participating the tour, which requires good body condition and adaquete skills. The tour can last from 2 to 4 days. Accommodation is usually camping. Trekking time takes up to 5 – 6 hours per day with more challenging terrain. Paddling time can be 7 hours per day.

» Adventure level: The most challenging trip, only for the experienced ones, with very good physical condition. Discover areas that were known almost by no one. Requiring physical and mental preparation, also good equipments.

I don’t have any experience of kayaking/ SUP paddling. Can I go on the kayak/ SUP tour in Cat Ba?

Cat Ba tours are in easy and medium difficulty, which requires no experience or skill to take part in. The tour guide will give you instructions on how to paddle properly and you are good to go!

I have 2 children, one is 3 and the other one is 7. Are they suitable for the 1 day SUP tour in Tam Coc?

The time of paddling in the tour is about 2 hours. Be considered when bringing along the little one because he/she may get bored and start pestering. The 7 years old one should be good because he/she can paddle together with parents.
